    The use of smart phones for local search and social networking grew significantly in Q1 this year: Research carried out by the Compete Smartphone Intelligence Survey showed we are becoming increasingly reliant on mobile phones to look for local businesses.  Nearly 1 in 3 people have called or visited a store after using their phone to find it.  The research also found that a third of Android and iPhone owners found at least 2 new businesses that they weren’t aware of before.
